SAWC: The link between land use and water quality

Discussion centered around the NHRWA:
NHRWA's goal is WS plans--leading to action plan ---with community involvement
The goal for UVLSRPC is very similar.
UV's process includes a current grant, for 18 months until Dec 05. The assumption is
that it is followed by a 319 grant for implementation.
For the SAWC watershed plan the land use connection needs to be stronger, and
our focus is actually very much on the land.
The process and goals for NHRWA would have to be interactive with UV and the
Steering Committee.
The Steering Committee also discussed the newsletter: perhaps for the first edition
having why impervious surfaces, SAWC, WS maps, along with some other
watershed protection information.
The deadline for signing up with NHRWA is September 30.
